Questions abound in any coaching search, so I am using this week’s newsletter to answer some of the most burning questions Louisville fans and TFST subscribers have about the process of finding their next men’s basketball coach. We also get to some thoughts on Louisville’s current squad, which, after an emotional dud at Syracuse, played hard enough in the second half to win at Notre Dame. The decision-making and team composure in the game’s most critical moments just weren’t there (again), and that cost the Cards. But shouts to JJ Traynor for finally getting into a game and playing well, and kudos once again to Jae’Lyn Withers for rediscovering his mojo, albeit a bit late in the season. I’ll repeat an obvious thought: Whoever Louisville’s next coach is needs to do what they can to retain El Ellis.
